What is New for 2025?

With a few changes to the exterior, like a larger grille, minor adjustments to the headlights, bumpers, and wheels, and the addition of a larger 27-inch OLED gauge display and infotainment touchscreen duo, the G80 has had a small refresh for the 2025 model year. 

Plus, the climate control buttons are more seamlessly integrated into the dashboard now. 

What hasn’t changed are the powertrains. The base-level engine is still the turbocharged 2.5-liter I-4 that produces 300 horsepower and 311 pounds per foot of torque. If drivers want a more powerful engine, they can swap the I-4 out for a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that produces 375 horsepower and 391 pounds per foot of torque. 

All trims in the G80 lineup come with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

Interior Features

The G80 was designed to be a stylish luxury car, and the interior does not disappoint! With a streamlined dashboard, luxurious soft-touch surfaces throughout, and elegant materials, it is the epitome of class and sophistication. 

Some favorite features include:

• Large OLED gauge and infotainment display 

• Heated and ventilated front and rear seats

• Head-up display 

• Ambient interior lighting 

 Plus, the rear seating area is roomy and legroom is generous enough for two adults to travel comfortably. 

Every G80 comes equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features. A Lexicon audio system with several sound modes rounds out the infotainment offerings as well.  

Driver Assistance Features

As with other Genesis vehicles, the G80 sedan offers ample safety and driver assistance features. One of the ones we are most intrigued by is called “Smart Park.” This allows drivers to maneuver the car in and out of tight parking areas without having to control the vehicle. 

Other safety features include: 

• Standard automated emergency braking

• Standard blind-spot monitoring

• Standard adaptive cruise control with lane-centering

It also receives top safety accolades from the NHSTA and the IIHS. 

Pricing for 2025

Of course, with upgrades and new features, the price of the G80 has changed slightly across all trims. 

Pricing updates include:

• Base 2.5T: $58,350 (up $2,700 from 2024).

• 2.5T Advanced: $63,150 (up $2,800 from 2024).

• 2.5T Sport Prestige: $69,600 (up $4,400 from 2024)

• 3.5T Sport Advanced: $70,850 (up $2,400 from 2024)

• 3.5T Sport Prestige: $78,250 (up $3,900 from 2024)

Destination pricing has also risen to $1,250.
