2025 Genesis GV80 vs. GV80 Coupe
2025 Genesis GV80 vs. GV80 Coupe
The Genesis GV80, introduced in 2021, is returning for another model year in 2025 with not just its current offerings, but also the all-new GV80 Coupe. While every trim in the lineup is luxurious and offers a comfortable drive, you may be wondering what’s different in the Coupe and what might be the same.
Well, you’re in the right place! Our team at Delray Genesis explores all you need to know about the standard 2025 GV80 and the new Coupe.
2025 Genesis GV80
The GV80 has been a fan favorite since it was introduced into the market in 2021. It is currently rated #1 in its class from the editors at Kelley Blue Book and is also one of Edmunds top luxury SUV picks.
Of course, the Coupe is brand-new for the 2025 model year, and we couldn’t be more excited about this sporty version of the GV80, which we will discuss in greater detail below.
First, let’s take a look at the exterior.
Exterior Features
The GV80 sets the standard for curb appeal, and for 2025, it comes with larger air intakes and a new double-layered grill. If you want a sportier vibe, the Coupe’s rear roofline slopes down to a rear spoiler. It also has wide-integrated rear brake lights, LED taillights, and sportier wheels that set it apart from the standard GV80.
Performance
The standard GV80 is offered with two different engine options:
-
A 300-horsepower turbo four
-
A 375-horsepower Twin turbo V6
The Coupe is also expected to offer two different engine options as well, including a special 409-horsepower turbo V6 with a 48-volt electric supercharger.
Also, to take the sportiness up a notch, the Coupe comes with launch control and active sound design, as well as adaptive suspension with cameras.
Interior Design
The GV80 has several improvements for 2025 including a crystal-like gear selector as well as a 27-inch wide infotainment screen. It also comes equipped with front and rear power-cooled seats.
The Coupe is very similar to the standard GV80, but it comes with carbon fiber trim elements and seats with sporty stitching. Also, the brake and gas pedals have special metal accents that help minimize foot slippage.
Plus, all GV80s come with a new D-cut steering wheel with digital gauges, a new wireless charging page, and a fingerprint reader. They also have a remote parking system that parks your GV80 or GV80 Coupe for you while you hold the key fob. Pretty cool!
Bottom Line
When it comes to luxury SUVs, the GV80 stands out as a top contender in the market in terms of style, comfort, and performance. If you prefer the luxury of the GV80 with a touch of sportiness, then the GV80 Coupe is the way to go.
Take it from us though, you’ll enjoy it whether you choose the standard GV80 or the Coupe, you’re going to love it!
