The Genesis GV60 Standard vs Advanced – Should You Upgrade?

When it comes to choosing the right luxury vehicle, we know that there are many factors to consider. When it comes to the GV60, you can’t choose the wrong trim level, but we often get asked what the difference between the Standard and Advanced is, and whether or not buyers should upgrade.

That’s a great question! Today, our team at Delray Genesis shares the differences between the trims to help you make the best decision for your needs.

Design and Comfort

Both the Standard and Advanced trims are elegant and feature sleek lines. The Standard trim is anything but basic and offers a luxurious interior experience. The Advanced trim introduces the next step up of luxury features including:

  • All-Wheel Drive: This provides enhanced traction and handling, particularly in inclement weather.

  • Increased Power and Torque: The dual-motor setup delivers a boost in power and torque when compared to the Standard trim.

  • Comfort and Luxury Features: Upgrades like heated and ventilated front seats, a premium audio system, an ambient lighting system, and upgraded upholstery are included. Plus, there’s a leatherette-wrapped instrument panel.

  • Advanced Safety Features: A surround-view camera system, blind-spot monitoring, and Highway Driving Assist are included as upgraded safety features.

As you can see, the Advanced pushes the GV60 over the top… in a good way!

Performance and Efficiency

Performance and efficiency are the cornerstones of the Genesis brand, and the GV60 does not disappoint. The difference lies in the size of the engine.

Here’s a quick comparison:

Genesis GV60 Standard

  • Powertrain: Single rear-mounted electric motor

  • Horsepower: 225 hp

  • Torque: 258 lb-ft

  • Drive: Rear-wheel drive

  • Range: 294 miles (estimated)

Genesis GV60 Advanced

  • Powertrain: Dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.

  • Horsepower: 314 hp.

  • Torque: 446 lb-ft.

  • Drive: All-wheel drive.

  • Range: 248 miles (estimated)

While the Advanced offers slightly less range, it makes up for it in horsepower and torque.

To Upgrade or Not?

Deciding whether to upgrade from the Standard to the Advanced trim ultimately depends on your personal preferences and lifestyle needs.

If you want more luxurious features and enhanced technology, then the Advanced trim might be the perfect fit. If you want something that offers a mix of elegance and performance, the Standard model is a great choice.
