2025 G80 Sneak Peek Details You Don’t Want To Miss

In 2025, the Genesis G80 is getting a mid-cycle facelift. While the changes to the exterior are subtle, inside the cabin is where we are excited to see the most changes.

Wondering what’s new for 2025? Our team at Delray Genesis can’t wait to share what we know with you! Let’s get started!

Exterior Changes

Starting with the exterior, the standard G80 and the G80 Sport come equipped with redesigned grilles, and new headlights with microlenses. Also redesigned, are the front bumpers, with a new sportier look. The back of the basic G80 also has a modified rear apron and taillights with new graphics.

The base level G80 has 20-inch wheels with a double-spoke design that are supposed to mimic an airplane’s propellers. Though these vehicles are gas-powered, they don’t have a visible exhaust tip, a nod to the Electrified G80. Judging by the 4WD badging on the trunk lid, we believe that the G80 will also include all-wheel drive capabilities.

Interior Changes

Inside, the biggest change is to the technology housed within.Starting with the infotainment display screen, bigger is better, as the 2025 G80 has a massive 27-inch OLED display that takes over the dashboard. It integrates the digital instrument cluster with the infotainment touchscreen.

Every G80 comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both operated via a wireless connection. A luxurious Lexicon audio system is also part of the infotainment system.

There’s also a crystal shifter knob and some small upgrades to the switchgear. Drivers will still find two rotary knobs on the center console, one for the infotainment system and the other for the gear shifter. A new layout with a touch-sensitive interface controls the climate inside the cabin, but there are a few hard knobs and buttons that remain as well.

Other notable features include:

  • Ambient interior lighting

  • A head-up display

  • Heated and ventilated front and rear seats

Plus, headroom and legroom are generous, offering comfort to anyone, whether in the front of the G80 or the back.

Safety Features

The G80 comes equipped with several driver-assistance features and a hand feature called Smart Park which allows drivers to maneuver the vehicle in and out of tight parking spots without actually driving.

Key safety features include:

    • Standard automated emergency braking

    • Standard blind-spot monitoring

    • Standard adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature

There are a host of other features included as well.

Performance

Though exact specifications have not been revealed yet, we don’t think that there will be any significant changes to the G80’s powertrain options. We expect they will still offer the turbo 2.5 inline four, and a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6.

Fuel Economy

It is estimated by the EPA that the G80 2.5T will offer 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. If buyers opt for the more powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, the ratings will be 17 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway.

When Will the G80 Go on Sale?

Look for the 2025 G80 to be released in the United States within the next few months.

The price of the 2025 G80 is likely to start around $56,000 and go up to $75,000 depending on the trim level and upgraded options.
