Why The 2025 Genesis GV80 Prestige Is Being Called A Budget Bentley

What’s New?

For the 2025 model year, the GV80 gets some pretty significant upgrades. It comes with a new styled grille, and what Genesis likes to call their “Micro Lens Array” headlamps. Plus, there are two new wheel designs in sizes 20 and 22-inch options. Storr Green is a new color option that is available in glossy or matte. 

In the interior, the GV80’s gauge cluster and infotainment display have been combined into one massive 27-inch infotainment display. As for interior colors, Genesis now offers Earth Brown, Bordeaux Brown, and Glacier white to buyers of the GV80. 

What is the Prestige Model? 

The GV80 Prestige Package offers special enhancements to the vehicle’s exterior, interior, and technology:

Exterior 

The exterior has been updated and an exclusive grille design, two wheel options, and upgraded exterior trim accents. 

Interior 

The interior is what sets the GV80 Prestige apart from other trims. Features include Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. 

Technology 

The large 12.3-inch 3D digital instrument cluster is a major upgrade, as well as a head-up display, active noise control, forward attention warning, and three-zone climate control. 

Other notable features that we can’t forget to mention are power door closure, power rear sunshades, cooled rear seating, and 2nd-row vanity mirrors. 

A Look at Performance 

This mid-size crossover SUV comes on the same chassis as the G80 sedan with standard all-wheel drive. Buyers can choose from a 300 horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, or the more powerful 375 horsepower twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. 

In testing the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine was able to go from 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds, while the V6 cut that time to 5.7 seconds. 

Stunning Interior Features 

It’s said that photos don’t do the GV80 Prestige’s interior justice, and we couldn’t agree more! Small touches like burled wood trim, metal accents, and ambient lighting, are all what make this SUV comparable to a Bentley. 

Genesis does not leave any detail to chance. From the large infotainment display to comfortable seats with a massage function, drivers will be relaxed no matter what the road conditions outside. 

Enhanced Safety Features 

Genesis always prioritizes safety, and the 2025 GV80 Prestige is no exception. It comes equipped with a full suite of enhanced driver-assistance features such as semi-autonomous driving mode, adaptive cruise control, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist. 

State-of-the-Art Technology 

The 27-inch infotainment display takes up most of the GV80’s dashboard, which might seem excessive, but it offers a more refined and uncluttered experience. Every GV80 is equipped with a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Autio, as well as complimentary Genesis Connected Services for three years.
